Completion of this course earns an MV-278 certificate, which is required to schedule the State Road Test.
Students MUST bring their permit to the class for an in-person class; Students MUST have uploaded a photo of their permit for the virtual class

In-person course now available (Rochester ONLY) or Instructor-led Live online courses offered via Zoom. An upload of the student's NYS Learner Permit is required at the time of registration.

The Instructor-led virtual course is open to people of all ages.

A course is available most days and covers the following driving fundamentals:
- The DMV point system
- The highway transportation system
- The laws of physics as they relate to driving and the effects of restraining devices
- Defensive driving techniques
- The effects of driver attitude, emotions, and skills Alcohol and drugs and their effect on driving
- What to do in case of a collision
Note: The original MV-278 certificate must be presented to the examiner on the day of the road test
