In-car Driving Lessons
Lessons are one-on-one with a professional instructor
AAA driving instructors are New York State DMV-certified and receive 33% more training than is mandated to assure the quality and effectiveness of instruction. Lessons are 45 minutes and include an immediate review following the time behind the wheel.
Lessons are scheduled at your convenience and start at just $75 for an individual 45-minute road lesson. Your instructor may be able to pick you up and drop you off at home, depending on your location. AAA vehicles are available for DMV road tests year-round, but to ensure instructor availability, AAA must book the test for you.
Lesson locations outside of AAA Driver Training's service area incur a $15 per lesson surcharge at registration. If lessons are doubled up in one session, a surcharge refund is issued to you. Note: surcharges can be avoided by starting lessons at one of the following AAA branches: Amherst, Camillus, Orchard Park, Penfield or Greece.

Driver Training Resources
Driving lessons expire after 12 months. A $50 restart fee will be charged to resume lessons. Lesson drive times should be rescheduled with the instructor with notification at least 24 hours in advance. No-shows and lessons not canceled at least 24 hours in advance are subject to a $35 reschedule/cancellation fee or the loss of a lesson.
